Warranty Policy

At The Fluffy Company (“we”, “us”, “our”), we make our furniture ourselves, and we stand behind it. This Warranty Policy explains what we cover, for how long, and how to raise a claim if something isn’t right because of a manufacturing or material defect.

This warranty is in addition to your rights under applicable Indian consumer-protection law, it does not take those rights away.

1. The essentials

- When it starts: your warranty runs from the date of delivery.
- What it covers: genuine defects in manufacturing or materials — this is not a wear-and-tear or accidental-damage cover.
- Who it’s for: the original purchaser. This warranty is non-transferable.
- Proof of purchase: please keep your order number handy - that’s all we need to verify a claim.
- Register your warranty: when your order arrives, share a photo of your product with us on WhatsApp (+91 99993 94979). This registers and activates your warranty and gives us a dated record of the piece in good condition.
- Assessment: warranty repairs or replacements are at our sole discretion, based on our review of the issue.
- Arrived damaged? That’s separate: transit damage is handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy - report it within 48 hours of delivery, with your unboxing video. Defects that appear later are handled here under warranty (no unboxing video needed - just clear photos and a description).
- Changed your mind? Returns and cancellations are covered by our Returns & Refunds Policy, not this warranty.

2. What we cover, and for how long

Sofas, floor seating, sofa beds, and bean bags & bean bag beds

These are built from a foam core and a fabric cover. We warrant each part against manufacturing defects:

A genuine failure of the foam: premature, permanent loss of support or shape that is not normal settling.

Upholstery & covers: fabric, seams, stitching, zippers

Seams or stitching coming apart, or a zip failing, under normal use.


Normal settling is not a defect.
Foam furniture softens and settles with use, and a regular fluff brings the bounce back. Warranty covers a true failure of the foam, not the normal need to fluff.

Pet beds - 1 year

Covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship affecting comfort or structure, plus cover stitching and zips. Pet beds take more day-to-day wear, so they carry a single 1-year term.

Kids’ seating & play furniture - 2 years

Covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. Built for rough-and-tumble play, with a 2-year term.

Clearance stock - 90 days (limited)

A limited 90-day warranty against new manufacturing defects only. It does not cover the cosmetic marks or minor imperfections these pieces are discounted and sold “as-is” for.

Free / complimentary items & samples

No warranty.

Tufted designs

Tufted buttons on any piece are not covered - they can loosen or shift with normal use, pressure and movement, which isn’t a manufacturing fault. If a tufting issue comes up, our team will still help, and we can often repair it (a charge may apply after assessment).

3. What we don’t cover

Across all products, this warranty does not cover:

- Normal wear and tear - softening, settling, pilling, or gradual fading.
- Misuse, rough handling, accidents, cuts, tears, or burns.
- Stains, spills, liquids, or damage from moisture or sun exposure.
- Damage from pets (chewing, scratching, clawing) or from moving/transport after delivery.
- Incorrect care - for example, machine-washing a cover against its care instructions.
- Any product altered after delivery (DIY customisation, re-upholstery, added filling).
- Items used in commercial or non-household settings (e.g. offices, rentals, boarding kennels).
- Tufted buttons (see above).

4. How to make a claim

1) Email hello@thefluco.com within the warranty period with your order number, a few clear photos or a short video of the issue, and a brief description of what’s happening.
2) Assessment: our team reviews and replies within 5–7 business days to confirm whether it’s covered.
3) If it’s covered, we’ll make it right with a repair, a replacement of the part or the product, or where a repair or replacement isn’t feasible a store credit for the affected item.

We handle every valid claim in good faith; the exact remedy depends on the item and the defect.

5. Repairs - logistics & shipping

Some repairs are done at your end with a replacement part; others need the piece to come back to our workshop.
- If a piece needs to come in, we’ll share the workshop address and help you arrange it. You can use any reliable courier, please share the tracking details with us.
- Sending it in: the cost of shipping the product to our workshop is borne by the customer (similar to dropping an item to a service centre).
- Sending it back: after inspection and repair, we ship the repaired unit back to you at our cost, within serviceable locations.

6. A few important notes

- A warranty repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period.
- This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
- This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under Indian consumer-protection law.
- We may update this policy from time to time; the version on our website at the time of your claim applies.
