By extension, the word velvety means "smooth like velvet." Velvet can be made from synthetic fibers.

PROS :

Velvet is a great fabric to use for furniture as it has a dense weave and also in curtains as it is a thick material it is good for blocking the light. These properties will also help to keep warmth in a room and add to the cosy feel. The colours of velvet are often also deep, sumptuous and vibrant which is popular with our current move towards brighter colours in interiors.

3. LINEN

Linen fabric clothing is known for being especially lightweight and breathable, making it the perfect fabric for hot summer days. The preferred choice of leading design professionals worldwide, Perennials fabric is the ultimate combination of beauty and brawn for its formal texture.

Linen is much more rigid fabric than cotton but lasts longer because the cellulose fibers in linen yarn are slightly longer and wrapped tighter than those in cotton yarn, which increases its strength and longevity.

NOTE :

Linen comes from the flax plant, and cultivation of these crops is extremely expensive; it's more difficult to spin, and there are many labor-intensive stages to the production process. It's an investment, plain and simple. Also as the primary fabric is cotton it will be more prone to lent.

4. PLUSH (CHENILLE)

A fuzzy cotton yarn of fabric that has pile protruding around the weave. This fabric looks exactly like what its name means in French: a caterpillar! Because of its softness and frizziness. Polyester is a synthetic fabric, his fabric is one of the world's most popular textiles with fibers that create an upholstery resistant to wrinkling, crushing, fading, and resistant to staining, this fiber is considered one of the strongest upholstery fabrics.

Molfino is a high grade wonderful upholstery fabric manufactured on multi-needle chenille looms using 5.2nm 100% polyester chenille textured yarns.These particular fabrics have a metallic thread in them, which gives them a more formal, luxe look and feel.
